Shanghai Arrival

Begin your journey with your international flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival at Shanghai International Airport you will be greeted by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Take some time to relax and prepare for your full day tour tomorrow.

Day 2

Shanghai City Tour, The Bund, Shanghai Museum, Nanjing Road

Today you will you will enjoy a Shanghai city tour, winding through the largest commercial and financial centres, visiting the Nanjing walking district and discovering the history and culture of Shanghai at the Shanghai Museum. You will then continue to the Bund by the Huangpu River, and witness the old meeting the modern side of the city. Enjoy an optional evening on the Huangpu River Cruise, allowing you to take in the famous sites of Shanghai including; the People’s Hero Monument, the Bund, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the dramatic skyline of the Pu Dong business district, the bustling International Passenger Station of Shanghai Harbour, the docks and the Wu Song ancient gun fort relics.

Day 3

Shanghai - Hangzhou

Today you will be transferred from Shanghai to Hangzhou. Upon arrival you will embark on a Hangzhou city tour – Hangzhou being the political, economic and cultural centre of the Zheijang province. The city is renowned for its beauty and abundance of cultural heritage. You will visit the West Lake Cultural Landscape of Hangzhou, comprising of the West Lake and the surrounding hills, which have inspired famous poets, scholars and artists since the 9th Century. It is also home to numerous temples, pagodas, pavilions, gardens, causeways and artificial islands. Furthermore, you may enjoy an optional evening performance at the Impression West Lake Show.

Day 4

Hangzhou, Tea Village, Suzhou

Today you will enjoy a visit to a tea plantation, where you will learn about tea picking and processing. Tea Village is part of the West Lake scenic area and has a history of over 600 years. It is rustic a beautiful location nestled amongst lush green hills. After lunch, you will be transferred to Suzhou, which is known as the ‘Venice of the East’ due to its many beautiful waterways. The Grand Canal of Suzhou is the longest and oldest surviving man-made waterway in the world. You may then choose to join the optional Grand Canal boat ride. Parts of the canal date back to more than 2,000 years ago and there are many beautiful homes to admire along this impressive waterway.

Day 5

Suzhou, Master of Nets Garden, Beijing

Suzhou is famous for its gardens, which are renowned for their unique architectural and elaborate designs. After visiting the Master of Nets Garden, you will continue on to the most famous silk factory in China to understand the manufacturing processes of silk products and its rich history in China. Later you will board a bullet train to Beijing. Upon arrival you will be met by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel. The remaining time of the day is free for your individual activities.

Day 6

Beijing, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City

Begin your day with your daily hotel buffet breakfast, featuring a large selection of Asian and Western cuisine. You will then set out with your trip leader to discover Beijing’s imperial treasures. Stand in Tiananmen Square, one of the largest and grandest public plazas in the world. Enter the imposing walls of the Forbidden City, once the exclusive domain of the Ming Dynasty, for an extensive tour through this vast complex. Furthermore, you have an option to join a tour of the Summer Palace – renowned for its beautiful gardens and enjoyed by the Emperors and their families for hundreds of years. Alternatively, you can return to your hotel in the evening, relax and refresh or enjoy an optional evening performance at the Legend of Kung Fu Show.

Day 7

Beijing, The Great Wall of China, 2008 Olympic Games Sites
Today, you will travel into the rugged mountain landscapes north of the city to the magnificent Great Wall of China. Once on top of this ancient defensive structure, you’ll find that some sections are quite steep, but the views are magnificent and the experience is truly unforgettable. You will then learn about Jade, China’s most precious and celebrated stone, and its manufacturing process at the largest Jade factory in Beijing. Furthermore, you will visit the 2008 Olympic Games Sites including the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube. Afterwards you will head back to the city to enjoy an oriental foot massage before returning to the hotel.

Day 8

Depart Beijing

Today you will be transferred to the Beijing International Airport for your flight home. If time permits, before heading to the airport,  you may choose to explore the city of Beijing at your own pace. Alternatively, you can join a selection of optional tours with our experienced local guide.

Must- See Attractions:


·         You can visit the Beijing Zoo – famous for its collection of rare and unique animals in China, including its resident Giant Pandas.

·         You may choose to visit the Lama Temple which is the largest and best-preserved lamasery in Beijing. It was built in 1694 and was originally the home of Qing Emperor Yongzheng before he became emperor.

In addition, you can visit the Capital Museum which houses a large collection of ancient porcelain, bronze, calligraphy, painting, jade, sculpture, and Buddhist statues from imperial China as well as other Asian cultures.

Day 9

Beijing, Temple of Heaven
In the morning you will practice Tai Chi in the Temple of Heaven. Tai Chi is an internal martial art system which places emphasis on the development and control of Chi (consciousness) energy within the body. Afterwards, visit the Silk Factory Outlet to learn about silk, the very trade item which started the famous Silk Road, and its delicate manufacturing process. Furthermore, you will have the option to jump in a rickshaw and enjoy a tour through the ancient and traditional Hutong neighbourhoods of Beijing. These rapidly disappearing neighbourhoods offer a glimpse into Beijing’s past and as part of this tour, you will visit a local family for lunch and go shopping in the Beijing Wangfujing Walking District and Beijing Flea Market (Knock-Off Market).

Day 10

Depart Beijing

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home or you may choose to extend your stay and continue to explore the mesmerising cities of China. We hope you enjoyed your journey to China with us!

Huangpu River Cruise

The Huangpu River (Huangpu Jiang) is the city's shipping artery both to the East China Sea and to the mouth of the Yangzi River, which the Huangpu joins 29km (18 miles) north of downtown Shanghai. A cruise along the Huang Pu River gives visitors an opportunity to see many of Shanghai's famous sites such as the People's Hero Monument, the Bund , the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the dramatic skyline of the Pu Dong business district. Also, in view of the river are the bustling International Passenger Station of Shanghai Harbour, the docks and the Wu Song ancient gun fort relics.

Kung Fu Legends

Durations: Evening Entertainment
The Legend of Kung Fu follows the story of a young boy found wandering outside an ancient temple. Like every boy in China, he dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master. On the road to enlightenment the young monk encounters many difficulties and temptations.
The show has English subtitles shown above the stage to keep you informed of the story line. The actors do not speak; the show is all Kung Fu, dance and acrobatics. It is the fusion of modern dance with Chinese traditional arts which make this performance unique and spectacular.
